NEWS from the board of Sanjiwani Australia
Over recent years, Sanjiwani Australia has encountered a sustained downward trend in donations. Consequently, it is with deep regret that from 1 July 2025, Sanjiwani Australia will stop its financial support for Sanjiwani Public Health Mission Nepal. The staff employed by Sanjiwani Public Health Mission Nepal have been advised about the closure and are seeking new jobs.
The board of Sanjiwani Australia want to take the opportunity to thank the hundreds of generous donors who have contributed to Sanjiwani Australia. Be assured that your donations have benefitted so many who visited and were treated at the clinics in Ghandruk and Chhomrong, Nepal. Your generosity has also impacted many who have attended health outreach programs conducted by the staff in Nepal.
From July 2025, we understand that some services will continue in Ghandruk with government staff, but it remains unclear what level of care will be provided.
Sanjiwani Australia will continue as an charitable entity until all its legal requirements have been met and then it will also close. It is expected that our webpage and social media presence will finish before the end of 2025.
Thanks for your interest in Sanjiwani Australia and Sanjiwani Public Health Mission Nepal. You have contributed to this worthwhile cause in Nepal, and please know that many people have better health and better futures because of your generosity.
THANK YOU!
